Monkey Hollow Winery is a family-owned and operated winery nestled in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana. Customers may visit the winery’s tasting room where they can enjoy a complimentary sample of wine and browse a selection of locally made arts and crafts.
Monkey Hollow Winery opened in St. Meinrad, Ind., in 2011, after planting its first 300 grapevines in the Fall of 2003.
The company has continued to expand its vineyard and now has approximately seven acres of grapes, featuring 10 varieties of French, American, and French Hybrid grapes.
Monkey Hollow Winery offers a well-rounded wine list that includes dry, semi-sweet and sweet wines. Many of the wines are made in small batches from estate-grown grapes, which allows winemaker Daniel Hedinger Jr. to experiment with new and exciting wines.
The family farm and winery is owned and operated by Daniel Hedinger Sr., his wife, Anita, and their three children, Daniel Jr., Andy and Jaime Zellers.
