Enjoy two fascinating hours in Joe’s studio, as he shares exciting discoveries to be found in various cuts of wood collected from the forest around him. He will demonstrate how he shapes and beautifully finishes pieces for both his jewelry and large-scale mobiles. There will be lots of sample pieces to touch and feel as he walks you through his creative process, which he calls fixing nature’s flaws. Former engineer-turned-artist, Joe Krutulis collects tree branches and fallen limbs with a keen eye that sees endless creative possibilities.
Afterwards, all will enjoy some Indiana Artisan refreshments and explore the considerable amount of Joe’s work that he and his wife Mary display throughout their gallery-like home. There also will be an opportunity to purchase Joe’s work.
Free, small-group experiences with some of the state’s outstanding creatives are one of the nicest benefits of joining Friends of Indiana Artisan. Invite your personal friends to join you in this one for $10 each. It’s a great way to introduce them to Indiana Artisan and our Friends program. If they decide to become a Friend, their admission will be credited to their $45 membership.
Joe’s studio will accommodate up to 12 visitors.
Registration: October 7 deadline
