HCAA’s 5th Annual Midwest Juried Art Exhibit

The Hamilton County Artists’ Association is pleased to announce the 5th Annual Midwest Juried Art Exhibit, September 4 – October 31, 2026. This fine art competition is open to artists 18 years and older who are residents of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota or Wisconsin. Each entrant may submit up to three (3) works which must meet the following criteria:
• All work must be original, created, and produced by the artist within the last two years.
• No compositions taken from published material or based on another artist’s work.
• No work created in a class, workshop, or under any type of supervision.
• No work copied from photographs taken by someone else other than the artist without written authorization from the photographer.
• No work painted over a mechanical print, copies, or reproductions.
• No work that has won any awards at any other juried competition, contest, or exhibit.
• No work that was exhibited in a past Midwest Juried Art Exhibit.
• Accepted mediums include oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, charcoal, pencil, ink, and mixed media.
• No digital art of any kind will be accepted (this includes photography, digital painting, digital enhancements, or using a computer in any way to produce the art).

ENTRY FEE
Entry fee is non-refundable and includes up to three (3) pieces.
• $30 for non-members
• $15 for HCAA artist members

ENTRIES DUE
• All works must be submitted via the electronic application by July 26th at 11:59 pm.
• Entries will not be considered complete until payment has been made. Entrants will be notified of
acceptance by email by August 7th.

SIZE LIMITATIONS
• Length or width may not exceed 60 inches
• No work of art may exceed 100 lbs. in weight

FRAMING & PRESENTATION
• All entries must be prepared for installation.
• All work must be framed and wired for hanging.
• No saw-tooth hangers permitted.
• No installation pieces accepted.
• Gallery wrapped canvases still needs to be framed.
