Indiana Artisan IN Columbus Exhibition, June 1 – August 15

Experience the extraordinary and explore the state’s heritage at Indiana Artisan IN Columbus, an art show of some of the best work created by Hoosiers. The exhibit, which is part of the Columbus Area Bicentennial Celebration, will showcase more than 100 pieces of art.

Indiana Artisan IN Columbus will be open from June 1-Aug. 15 in the Columbus Learning Center (CLC), 4522 Central Ave., Columbus. Hours are 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

“Expect the unexpected at Indiana Artisan IN Columbus,” said Marilyn Brackney, a Columbus-based Indiana Artisan who creates collages from her original marbled papers and is art show co-chair. “Paintings by Indiana’s contemporary masters will be displayed alongside whimsical and funky pieces. Look for clay sculptures that bemuse and amuse, glass that dazzles and awes, and new interpretations of traditional art in many media.”

The summer-long art show will give collectors an opportunity to purchase top-quality, Indiana-made work. Admission is free. Complimentary parking is available in front of the CLC.

“The past year made every art enthusiast yearn to engage with outstanding work,” said Daren Redman, a Nashville-based Indiana Artisan who handcrafts art quilts and co-chairs the art show. “Indiana Artisan IN Columbus will be a fine opportunity to enjoy a wide range of work, styles, perspectives and creativity.”
