Learn to build custom wood frames for your art at a free workshop. The IU Kokomo Art Gallery will host the 3-hour session beginning at noon March 7. The gallery is in the Fine Arts Building, 326 E. Lincoln Road, on the IU Kokomo campus.

Martin Douglas, MFA, an adjunct professor in the New Media, Art and Technology program, will lead the workshop. He will demonstrate appropriate measuring, cutting and assembly techniques to build wood frames that are suitable for professional display of 2D artwork. Participants will not use the power tools involved in the process.

Register by Feb. 20 at go.iu.edu/8wtl for the workshop, which is sponsored by Women of the Well House, a group that supports the philanthropic goals of Indiana University Kokomo students, staff, and faculty. For more information, contact [email protected] or (765) 455-9523.
